August 15, 2017

Leading Russian shipping company Sovcomflot (SCF Group) is underlining its growing reputation as a high-quality tanker operator through a series of award victories and nominations through 2017.

In recent weeks, the company was shortlisted for two Lloyd’s List Global Awards 2017 - Company of the Year and Tanker Operator of the Year.

In July, leading maritime industry publisher Seatrade recognised SCF Group by awarding it the ‘Deal of the Year’ for its US$ 750 million, seven-year bond offering in 2016. Elsewhere, the Sovcomflot Arctic shuttle tanker Shturman Albanov, was named 2016 Ship of the Year at the international Marine Propulsion Awards 2017 in April. The Double Acting Tanker is the first of six shuttle tankers being built to carry crude oil from the Yamal Peninsula to Murmansk at temperatures as low as - 45 °C.
