Dutch credit agencies are ready to Finance shipbuilding projects in Russia despite sanctions.


This was during organized by PortNews international conference “Modern port fleet – the basis of security”, held in St. Petersburg, said the credit Manager of the Dutch shipbuilding company Damen Shipyards Yang Finecam.

According to him, customers who are turning with projects to build ships in Damen offers a variety of loan financing options, including brokered by Russian banks.

International shipbuilding group Damen Shipyards Group (head office – town of Gorinchem, the Netherlands) brings together 32 of the shipbuilding and ship repair yards (15 – in the Netherlands and 17 in other countries). The total number of employees worldwide is 8 thousand people, including 3 thousand work in the Netherlands.

The group’s annual turnover Damen is 1.7 billion euros. The company has built to date, more than 5 thousand ships worldwide annually and is transmitted in operation for about 180 new ships. Damen is specialised in the design and construction of tugs, boats, patrol, and high-speed cargo vessels, dredgers, vessels for servicing offshore platforms, ships for liquidation of emergency floods of oil (OSR), frigates and mega-yachts.
